Craniofacial Surgery · Studio City, CA
Advanced craniofacial surgery in Studio City and Los Angeles County — specializing in facial fractures, rhinoplasty, facial feminization and masculinization, orbital trauma, and complex reconstructive procedures. Fellowship-trained at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles under Dr. Henry Kawamoto, one of the world’s foremost craniofacial surgeons.
ScrollCraniofacial surgery is among the most technically demanding disciplines in all of plastic surgery. It addresses the bones, soft tissue, and structural anatomy of the face, skull, and jaw — requiring a surgeon who understands both the functional mechanics and the aesthetic nuances of facial anatomy at the deepest level.
Dr. Murtaza “Mort” Rizvi, MD is a board-certified plastic, hand, and craniofacial surgeon serving the Greater Los Angeles area. His training includes a craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles — one of the premier craniofacial programs in the United States. At West Empire Surgery, he brings that fellowship-level expertise to adult craniofacial care, facial trauma, and facial surgical reconstruction across Studio City, the San Fernando Valley, and Los Angeles County.
From acute facial trauma and complex reconstruction to functional correction, we treat a wide range of craniofacial conditions.
Craniofacial care at West Empire Surgery is shaped by fellowship-level training and a deep understanding of facial anatomy. Dr. Rizvi’s background at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles — under one of the country’s most respected craniofacial programs — informs a surgical approach that is precise, individualized, and focused on both structural integrity and long-term outcome.
Whether addressing acute facial trauma, restoring form and function after cancer excision, or performing gender-affirming facial procedures, treatment plans are built around each patient’s anatomy, goals, and recovery. Care may involve open fracture reduction and fixation, rhinoplasty and airway correction, soft tissue reconstruction, or staged scar revision depending on the complexity of the case.
West Empire Surgery serves patients throughout Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Burbank, North Hollywood, Glendale, and greater Los Angeles County, offering specialized craniofacial surgical care for both traumatic and elective facial conditions.
Our practice regularly coordinates care for patients with personal injury and workers’ compensation facial trauma cases — providing timely surgical intervention, thorough documentation, and continuity of care throughout recovery.
